Jade named as Univ of Chicago Artist-in-Residence
Beginning Dec.1st, Jade will begin a week-long residence at the University of Chicago which will include the debut of "Black.Female.Classical Pianist.", a frank and humorous discussion about the state of race and the dangers of elitism in Classical music. While in Chicago, amongst other activities, she will speak and perform at the Merit School of Music and spend time with students from the Hyde Park Suzuki Institute. Her time at UC, will culminate in a performance with the University of Chicago's Symphony Orchestra of Rachmaninoff's Rhapsody on a Theme by Paganini on Saturday, Dec.5th, 2009.

Scriabin/Kandinsky Success
Jade's innovative performance project pairing the music of Russian composer Alexander Scriabin with the artwork of Russian painter Wassily Kandinsky debuted to two nights of sold-out concerts in Houston. As well, her one-time only premiere of Scriabin/Picasso was well-received in California's Norton Simon Museum in Pasadena. Stay tuned for listings of more performances of Scriabin and Kandinsky: Hearing Color, Seeing Sound around the globe!
