Twinkle, Twinkle Rising Star…

February 2008 sees Jade’s debut on the Ravinia Rising Stars Series in Highland Park, Illinois. Summer home of the Chicago Symphony, the Ravinia Music Festival and its Rising Star Series have served as the launching pad for many young artists.


Themed Recitals in 2008!

You've read about them in the Future Projects Section and finally...the future is NOW! Both themed recitals, The Rhythm Project and Hearing Color, Seeing Sound will be featured in Jade's performances in 2008. Check the tour calendar for specific dates.


The Rhythm Project: Toe-tappin' at the Thalia

The Rhythm Project will make its debut at Symphony Space's Thalia theatre on Thursday, January 24th, 2008 as a part of the Pianocentric Series. TRP features an entire program of pulsating pieces designed to exploit the percussive nature of the piano. The program will vary throughout the year and will highlight works by traditional rhythm masters such as Barber, Prokofiev and Ginastera, rhythm guru Gyorgy Ligeti, and hot, current composers like John Corigliano, Susie Ibarra, Tania Leon, Hugh Levick, Russell Pinkston and Carl Vine.

An Electrifying Premiere!

During the Rhythm Project debut at Symphony Space, Jade will give the New York Premiere of Russell Pinkston's TaleSpin for piano and tape. In this exciting contemporary piece, Jade will be accompanied by pre-recorded electronics.
