Bouncing back after the forced cancellation due to Hurricane Ike, Impulse is excited to announce its newly rescheduled season. The special student concert featuring Houston area student pianists in grades 1-12 will take place ahead of the festival on Sunday, Nov.16th, 2008 at Rice University's Shepherd School of Music in Room 1133.

The full festival will take place this coming December 6th-12th, 2008. The Impulse Artist Series exists to give an ear to emerging pianists in the early stages of embarking on their professional journeys. Impulse is the only performance series in the nation that provides not only performance opportunities but also hands-on career building assistance to its artists.

Wade Wilson Art is the home of The Impulse Artist Series. The Forshey Piano Company is the official Steinway piano sponsor for the series.
